With a desire to reimagine the "digital chorus line of images" approach of many online publications, and instead adopt a pacing closer to its print publication, we set out to redesign a global hub for PIN–UP.

Highlights of the platform include:

• A redefinition the role of the digital news platform with an emphasis on slownesss, allowing time to identify not-so-obvious connections.
• A flamboyant restraint design direction, featuring web-safe Arial set in fuschia, and contrasted with photography set to XXL.
• A new system of editorial modules, highly flexible layout and grid variation adapting to the needs of the editorial team for a continually fresh, varied grid.

Launched in September, pinupmagazine.org was a collaboration between Bureau Lucas and PIN–UP’s internal team, with support from the Lukas Harding.

The result is a highly dynamic site that reflects PIN–UP's effortless sophistication, while expanding oppertunity for growth online.
